I feel incredibly lucky to witness some of the most special days of my couples lives. Being present, seeing the love between a couple, and the overflowing love of their families is a privilege. I felt blessed to be able to document Jo and Keith’s wedding. I am very fond of them and their children Josh and Bella. Our engagement and family shoots had been very special. Jo and Keith embraced the time together and they had allowed me in to their world.
Jo’s older brother Ivan was my very first groom back in 2004, having photographed his wife Helen’s sister’s wedding in January, their family is dear to me, and I was excited to see them again.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful St Paul’s Church. Stunning stained glass windows with the sunlight streaming through. Keith is very fond of golf, so it seemed only fitting that the reception was held in the rather stunning grounds of the Hampton Court Golf Club, nestled deep within the Royal parkland. We enjoyed this venue very much – jumping in golf buggies to go off for their couples shoot, we went down to the long water that leads towards Hampton Court Palace. As we stood there, in a quiet moment, the fountains sprung to life. We took just a few minutes before returning to the reception, and took a second short moment after dinner before the speeches when the sunlight had turned to gold.
Jo and Keith, thank you. We felt as much a part of the party celebrating you for all your kindness to us. Jake and I wish you every happiness, forever.
