They were childhood sweethearts, when they used to take long walks together. So it seemed perfect to take a long walk in Cedars Park when we met for Caroline and Matt’s engagement shoot. We had planned to head out mid afternoon to catch the beautiful light at this time of year. The unusual weather left this december day looking more like autumn, colours hanging on like whispers. This time last year it was snowing.
There is a playful exuberance to their relationship. A simple joy to being together. Our afternoon was full of laughter and all the details of their plans and excitement for the year ahead. Next April, 10 years after they first fell in love, they will marry and I am honoured to be there to document their day.
A new addition to Caroline and Matt’s household is little Dillon – the most beautiful 3 month old bundle of energy who just melts with attention. He was a little to young and over excitable to join us at the park, so we caught some of his energy for prosperity in Caroline’s parents beautiful garden.
Thank you two for such a fun afternoon! I simply cannot wait for April x

Just gorgeous, Ria. Your images always have something indefinable about them… maybe an expression of sensitivity… that is so unique to you. Thank you for sharing. x
Beautiful shoot, so romantic and also love the leaves! Hope you are settling happily into married life. Love Serena
Love the shots with the leaf and ring!
Another beautiful couple caught in so many beautiful pictures. I especially like the old archway with the squiggly trees behind. (and what a gorgeous dog!).
